No one is in front of “Mad Max”!

By winning his 16th Formula One championship this season, the Dutch driver set the record for the most championships in one season.

According to TASS news reports, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won his 16th victory in this Formula One season and won the Mexican Grand Prix. The fans of the Formula One world have given him the title of Mad Max, which is the name of one of the best movies in the history of Hollywood, due to the numerous successes of Verstappen.

Verstappen, the Dutch driver of Red Bull, won the 19th stage of the Formula 1 World Championship in the 2023 Mexico season. The second place went to the British Lewis Hamilton from the Mercedes-Benz team, and Charles Leclerc from the Ferrari team was in the third place in this round of the competition.

This victory was Max Verstappen’s 51st victory in all Formula 1 competitions. In this way, he equaled the French Alain Proust. Sebastian Vettel (53 wins), Michael Schumacher (91 wins) and Britain’s Lewis Hamilton (103 wins) have more victories than Verstappen in Formula One.

Verstappen won his 16th championship this season. The Dutch driver became the Formula 1 record holder in terms of number of victories in one season of Formula 1. The previous record also belonged to Verstpan, who was achieved in 2022 with 15 victories. Previously, Schumacher and Vettel won 13 times each in 2004 and 2013.

This year, Hamilton hoped to set a world record by winning the 8th championship title, but he failed in this, so that he remains next to Michael Schumacher with 7 championships, the most proud Formula One driver. He, who went through a difficult time because of his colored skin, is the first black man to have seven world championships.

This year Verstappen won the Formula 1 championship ahead of schedule for the third time in a row. In the overall classification, the Dutch driver is on top with 491 points. The second place went to Mexican Sergio Perez (240 points), who is Verstappen’s teammate. Lewis Hamilton is third with 220 points. In the constructors’ championship, Red Bull (731 points) had already taken an early victory, with Mercedes (371 points) second and Ferrari (349 points) third.
