The world of music is no exception to this rule. Today, from original Iranian music or traditional music to pop style and even more modern styles such as fusion music, each has its own audience.
We will not discuss which style of music is better here, and the purpose is to explain, albeit briefly, some of the styles of music and the audience of each style.
We will first explain the word “style”.
The word style is a conventional noun used to describe the attributes of pieces of music that belong to common customs.
Original or traditional Iranian music includes instruments, songs and chants, and has been passed down from the years BC to the present day; According to the people of art, when a person wants to speak his heart, he must speak in his mother tongue, and this original and traditional Iranian music is our mother tongue.
It goes without saying that another name for the traditional music of any geography is “folk” music.
The next style is pop, or popular music, which has the largest audience worldwide; This style usually has no specific characteristics and of course is known more as an industry than art; In fact, pop music is designed that way.
