With more students asking for an extension, Visionaries Film Festival is proud to announce that its late submission deadline is now June 15, 2022. This will give ample time for last-minute submissions to be collated and presented to the deciding board for assessment.

The June 15 deadline takes into consideration that many young filmmakers would want to shoot during their school break. In fact, based on previous festivals, many of the young adult themes are focused on the 10 to 11-week break between May and June. Whether it’s a summer romance or a coming-of-age story, many filmmakers prefer to use their personal experiences in depicting a heart-warming film of note.
The Visionaries Film Festival, now in its fourth year, was launched by Vihan Khanna who believed that young filmmakers should have their own avenue to promote their creativity. Since its inception, it has received hundreds of submissions from aspiring filmmakers who want to pursue a career in video production.
It is now considered one of the leading film festivals for young filmmakers in the country today. While the program favors submissions by high school and college students, it also welcomes submissions from professionals.
Filmmakers are reminded that there is a submission fee for each entry. These fees are determined based on the deadline. If accepted, films must be provided either as a .mov or .mp4 file. All submissions will be acknowledged by the Visionaries Film Festival. If there are any issues or incomplete requirements, filmmakers will likewise be notified.
